We are a local infrastructure organisation . Our mission is to empower and support the local VCS through information, advice, development and co-ordination.
We provide support and services to the local voluntary and community sector, (VCS) also known by the general term of Third Sector. We work with and along side the local VCS to enable them to deliver services within their local communities. We do not provide community services directly, we enable the development of those services . Our goal is to support , not to compete with, local voluntary services.
Our services are available across the entirety of the Wigan Metropolitan Borough.
All of our work is delivered within these four key functional areas :
