| New health project at CVS |
Wigan and Leigh CVS has been successful in securing £440,000 of lottery money (BASIS) to provide a range of support to groups working in the field of health and social care. The money, spread over five years, will be used to employ two staff who will offer training, development advice, networks and a link to their public sector partners.
One of the main aims of the project is to ensure that voluntary groups have the skills necessary to engage in commissioning process, both as a provider of services and as a partner in helping decide what services are needed. more...
