Membership Criteria
1. Not public sector or private sector
2. Has a recognised form of governing document that demonstrates
- Local accountability
- Focus of services in Wigan
- Has 5 or more members on governing body
3. Can demonstrate public benefit , community interest, social value and reinvests most of income in order to deliver on these benefits/values
4. Has an established bank account
5. Agrees to commit to and support the values and working principles of CVS
Membership is approved by the board. They have delegated that responsibility to the Chief Officer who keeps them apprised of membership applications and their status. If they are not satisfied with a decision they may appeal and a review will be conducted by the board at its next scheduled meeting .
