Personalisation is imminent and will have a major impact on voluntary and community organisations that provide health and social care services.
In 2007 the Government published Putting People First: a shared vision and commitment to the transformation of adult social care, which officially introduced the idea of a personalised adult social care system, where people have maximum choice and control over their support, and services are tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of users.
